Hello, dear visitor! This great year 2008 is getting shorter and shorter. It has been one of the best for me artistically: Teräsbetoni released its third and strongest album "Myrskyntuoja" which sold gold immediately (...here in Finland of course). We were also voted to represent Finland in the Eurovision Songs Contest (my humble thanks for all the votes, once more!) - and what an experience that was! Lots of fine people out there. The best advantage of that contest was that many of YOU guys heard us the first time. Ever since then it has been a bit more busier with my guestbook and email. Teräsbetoni did a great summer tour in Finland right after the ESC and there are still few battles for this year. I was offered a chance to start writing songs for Kaiku Entertainment and I accepted. We'll see how that is going to work out. During the autumn I went to studio to do my parts for...
Northern Kings' new album Rethroned which is out NOW. Well, tomorrow 19th of November, to be exact - but you can buy the album digitally already. The track listing is as follows: Training Montage (instrumental), Wanted Dead Or Alive (perf. by Marco Hietala), Kiss From A Rose, A View To A Kill, Nothing Compares 2 U (perf. by Tony Kakko), My Way (perf. by J.Ahola), Strangelove, Take On Me, I Should Be So Lucky (perf. by JP Leppäluoto), Killer, Róisin Dubh (Black Rose): A Rock Legend (perf. by Marco Hietala and J.Ahola). This time all four singers appear in all songs, except otherwise mentioned. The album is produced and engineered by Erkka Korhonen. Besides us vocalists (J.Ahola, Marco Hietala, Tony Kakko & JP Leppäluoto) the musicians are: Erkka Korhonen, Mikko P. Mustonen, Vili Ollila, Erkki Silvennoinen and Mirka Rantanen. Hope U like what you're hearing!!!
I will also be participating on few Raskasta Joulua gigs next month. It has become some kind of tradition already, and it seems that it's getting more popular year after year. Great! The cities I'll be visiting are Eura, Helsinki, Tampere and Turku. Check out the Raskasta Joulua-site for more info.
Oh, by the way if you didn't know, Teräsbetoni and Northern Kings will be performing on the same event in 5th of December. It's called Rock Finlandia and at least few Teräsbetoni songs will be shown live on TV-channel "Nelonen". I am not sure about the Northern Kings show, but it's possible it'll be out as well.
Thank you very much visiting my site! Come again,
J.
